Zotril™ |
 |
Review
Summary |
Zotril™, produced by AlphaGen BioTech, is essentially a re-branded Zotril™, famous for its clinically proven weight loss results. Zotril™ claims that its special formula provides its users with quick, easy, and sustainable weight loss. The company even provides clinical studies. The essential difference between the two brands is that Zotrin™’s formula includes extra ingredients for both men and women, providing separate products for each gender. The manufacturer claims this “miracle” diet breakthrough will help suppress hunger and consequently result in weight loss, but we are not so sure the ingredients do what they are said to do.

|
The basic formula for Zotril™ includes Yerba Mate, Guarana and Damiana as its main ingredients. Also included are Calcium Phosphate (a source of calcium), Microcrystalline Cellulose (a binder and filler for tablets), Magnesium Stearate (a filler as well), SE L-Tyrosine (a mood-altering producer of dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine), and Trimethylglycine (a possible aid to fighting cardiovascular disease).
Yerba Mate is a mild source of caffeine that helps create alertness with fewer of the side effects associated with other sources of caffeine. This is, however, still a stimulant. Guarana is also a source of caffeine, acting in this product as a mild hunger suppressant, but the caffeine itself is a strong stimulant that could cause irritability, insomnia, a jittery feeling, elevated heart rate and increased blood pressure. Anyone who is sensitive to caffeine should speak with a physician before taking the product.
Damiana is an herbal extract that is commonly used as a laxative and alcoholic beverage additive. Damiana has also been used as an aphrodisiac in the past, but there is no medical proof of its effects. Damiana has been known to dilate blood vessels to a small extent.
The men’s formula also contains additives such as Passionflower Extract, which is commonly used for anti-stress and anxiety, Ginseng, which is a stimulant and antioxidant, St. John’s Wort, which is a mood stabilizer and antidepressant, and Schizonepeta, which is a traditional Japanese medicine used to help cure skin disease.
The women’s formula contains the additives Chasteberry, Black Cohosh, Sage Leaf, Chlorella, and St. John’s Wort. Chasteberry and Black Cohosh are known for their ability to regulate menstrual cycles. Sage Leaf is an anti-microbial and viral additive. Chlorella is known for its detoxifying abilities, and St. John’s Wort is a mood stabilizer and antidepressant.
With the exception of the mild effect of caffeine on the appetite, none of these ingredients directly affect hunger in any significant way. This is a big red flag for those looking for a successful hunger suppressant and diet supplement. The added ingredients in both the men’s and women’s formulas do nothing to suppress appetites or assist with weight loss.

As far as research can tell, Zotrilä is a pricey product, retailing at upwards of $80.00 a bottle. However, it should be noted that this is only a rough estimate based on previous purchase prices. At the time of this review there was a link on the product’s website to purchase Zotrinä; however, the link only takes customers to a page retailing HoodiaäExtra Strength and Lean Extremeä supplements. There was no visible way of purchasing Zotrinä on its own product website. Interestingly enough, AlphaGen BioTech does back Zotrinä with a “no-nonsense money back guarantee.” If customers do not see “substantial, effortless weight loss” in 30 days they are guaranteed a full refund.

 | Website In Focus |
|
Zotrinä’s website is simply one page with seven links. Six of the seven links take consumers to the webpage for HoodiaäExtra Strength and Lean Extremeä supplements, offering no additional information about Zotrilä. The other link takes consumers to a page with a long list of website links for other diet supplements. The page is visually bland and has little “important” information for consumers.

 | Final Thoughts |
|
Zotrilä claims to be a revolutionary weight loss supplement that suppresses dieters’ appetites and helps them shed pounds they have been putting on for years. While the product sounds amazing, there is little support to back up the bold claims. Zotrilä’s main ingredients show little to no promise of actually promoting weight loss and appetite suppression. The other added ingredients for men and women do nothing to support weight loss. With so much lacking, consumers should exercise extreme caution when considering this product.
Customers can and should select a formula which uses proven ingredients for appetite suppression and fat-burning for the best results. Combine this with an exercise program and a healthy eating plan, and you are good to go.
