Including Senna in the formula guarantees bowel movements, rather dramatic ones, in fact. It is considered one of the most “potent” natural laxatives. Uva Ursi and asparagus extract are herbs that are believed to help eliminate excessive water weight, which can result in a heavier, bloated appearance. Black Pepper extract is promoted as an ingredient that causes good circulation, which may help speed up the transport of the other ingredients in Xenadrine® Detox™. Caffeine is also used in the formula because it is believed to help to increase metabolism that results in the burning of body fat.
