The Platinum Plus Home Gym is a simple, entry-level home gym that is said to follow an overall design that is tried and true for the home gym market. However, Weider has thrown in a few extra conveniences to attract a would-be consumer. The Platinum Plus Home Gym features preset workouts, which is advertised to make workouts much easier because there are no formulas or methods to learn. It is said all you have to do is choose the subcategory of workout you want—strength training, muscle toning, or calorie burning. Intensity levels range from beginner to intermediate and are available for each category, but the advanced exercisers may find the levels fail to challenge his or her abilities.

Narrowing down a price for the Platinum Plus machine was difficult because it appears to have been discontinued and/or replaced by another home gym model. The Platinum Plus is available through some third party retailers of workout equipment and can also be found for sale by consumers at popular consumer driven auction and retail sites at time of review.

Aside from the purported sturdy composition, the home gym is said to be a fully digital system that provides up to 240 pounds of resistance, which is pretty average for an entry-level machine. That 240-pound resistance is not achieved with actual discs but digital simulation and so the other feature that the advertising highlights is the easy storage of the system due to the lessened bulk.
