Review
Summary |
Thermaloid
is a thermogenic supplement provided by Goliath Labs advertised as being able to burn stubborn body fat while maintaining lean muscle mass. It is also supposed to provide an energy boost, speed up the body’s metabolism through an increase in thyroid function, and to combat stress and fatigue. Upon review, this product is like so many other cookie-cutter formulas relying on excessive use of caffeine in combination with other stimulants. At least this one uses Hoodia for appetite suppression.

 | Ingredients At A Glance |
|
Thermaloid contains 100mcg of chromium picolinate to help regulate blood sugar levels and reduce cravings for sugar and carbohydrates.
The product also contains a proprietary blend of the following stimulants: green tea extract, caffeine anhydrous, Yerbe Mate, and Guarana extract, all of which contain caffeine. Caffeine has been known to cause nausea, insomnia, nervousness, elevated heart rate and increased blood pressure.
Citrus Arantium or Bitter orange is included to improve thermogenesis, and while this is a good ingredient, it too is a stimulant and should not be used by pregnant or nursing women, those with heart or blood pressure issues or those taking an MAOI. If you have a known medical condition or are taking medication, check with your physician first before using this product.
The blend also contains guggulsteroids, a product being researched on its ability to lower cholesterol and contribute to weight loss by increasing levels of T3, L-Carnitine is used to for cardio support, alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant, bioperine enhances the body’s natural thermogenic activity.
There is also a fat/carb blocking and appetite suppressant blend which includes White kidney bean, Chitosan, CLA, Evodiamine, and South African Hoodia gordonii. White Kidney Bean does not have proven effectiveness and Chitosan has not had good clinical results at all. Those with shellfish sensitivities should not use this ingredient.

 | Cost |
|
A 60-count bottle of Thermaloid lists for $44.95, but is being sold on www.bodybuilding.com for $16.95. The disparity in cost is a concern and may signify a lack of interest in the product and slow sales. The recommended dose for experienced users is to take two tablets, twice a day, which makes a 60-count bottle a twenty-day supply. Product can only be taken continuously for twelve weeks, and then a two-week break period is advised. Shipping starts at $2.99 for regular ground with upgrade options available. There is a 90-day refund available for unopened products and store credit may be issued for opened products within 45 days from purchase.

 | Website In Focus |

related questions. This site provides a listing of the precautions that should be observed before using the product and any side effects that one should be aware of. The site contains functional links to more information about caffeine, other fat loss products, and a Bill Me Later option for those who wish to finance their orders. | Positives |
|
The product is responsible about listing its ingredients and dosing instructions
The product has been certified as containing what it claims to contain and is made by Goliath Labs, which is located in the USA and operates under regulatory standards
|
 | Negatives |
|
This product contains an enormous amount of stimulants and can cause sleeplessness, nervousness, tremors, dizziness, headaches, and heart palpitations to name a few.
The product is sold on a site that encourages fitness, but that and a healthy diet are not inherently necessary in a weight loss plan that focuses on Thermoloid.
There are quite a few people who should not use Thermoloid including: people under eighteen, pregnant and nursing women, and people with medical conditions like diabetes, heart, liver or kidney disease, high blood pressure, hypertension, anxiety, depression, seizure disorder, stroke, or psychiatric diseases
The formula does contain ingredients that are only theoretically effective as weight loss agents and energy boosters

 | Final Thoughts |
|
This is a product that is an extreme weight loss solution and it is marketed toward, and valued most, by people who are looking for rapid results without the necessity of long term dieting and a sensible exercise program. The very fact that there is a caution which recommends a two-week break period from the product eliminates it as a reasonable long term weight loss lifestyle. The price may be reasonable, but the potential side effects are not.
For a much safer solution, select a product which uses a wiser choice and just one form of fat-burning stimulation – if it is the right ingredient, only one is needed. Also be sure that the product you choose contains an appetite suppressant.
