The Weightless Workout |
Review
Summary |
The Weightless Workout is a book by Jerry Robinson that promotes muscle building using the author’s theory of quality over quantity. This is not an entirely new concept in the exercise world, but this book may provide useful information to body builders who need or want to take a break from all the heavy lifting. This book was originally published in the early 1990s, but is still available online at Amazon and other body building websites. Jerry Robinson has also authored another body building book called Secrets of Advanced Body Builders, but we will focus on The Weightless Workout in this review.
 | Components |
The Weightless Workout theorizes that one can increase muscle mass without doing multiple repetitions with heavy weights. As with any exercise, warm-ups and stretching are recommended before attempting any of the exercises contained in this book. Weightless Workout appears to focus on doing specific strength building exercises without weights and this may be appealing to some exercise enthusiasts. The author refers to these as bodybuilding exercises.

 | Price |
The Weightless Workout is available from several body building sites for $18 to $20. Although it appears to be out of print, the book can also be purchased used through Amazon from $28 a copy.

 | Qualities |
Currently, there does not appear to be an official website for The Weightless Workout, nor any destination for the author, Jerry Robinson. The book may be considered outdated by some and perhaps that is why there is sparse information on the title. There do appear to be a few bodybuilding threads that discuss the book and there are also other companies marketing workout programs without weights.

 | Final Facts |
The Weightless Workout book is based on building muscle without lifting weights. It is not clear at this time how well this concept was accepted in the body building industry. Yet, some exercise enthusiast may find it an interesting read with some alternative muscle building techniques. This book may not be ideal for the average dieter and does not appear to have any supplementation information in its pages. It is possible that new dieters may find Weightless Workout a bit overwhelming, as it appears to be geared to more experienced gym goers.
