The Prism® Weight Loss Program is advertised as a weight loss program that is about more than weight loss. Rather, Prism® is about lifestyle transformation. The program is designed to help consumers change eating habits, lose weight, keep it off for good, and address underlying eating/food issues. In this way, Prism® participates in a relatively new trend on the diet program market – a trend that is focused on helping folks get over their hang-ups rather than simply starving them down to a certain weight.
Prism® is different from similar programs in one regard, however. The program is approached from a Christian perspective and the advertising claims that Prism® will help consumers become the people they were created to be. Prism® dieters are to learn about more than weight loss and eating habits, then. In fact, Prism® dieters are supposed to learn about who they really are (the “true you”) and how their body weight, eating habits, and attitudes about food play into this identity.

The Prism® Weight Loss Program is a 24-week program divided into 4 (or more, somehow) 6-week phases. The description of these phases on the program website is somewhat lacking. All we could find at the time of this review were descriptions of what comes with an order of each phase.
Phase I, for example, includes an introductory video and guide, a workbook with 42 daily lessons, a teaching video with six lessons, one for each week, and a “transformation” audio tape or CD.
Phases II – IV are similarly outlined.
Prism® groups do exist at various, unnamed locations. Interested consumers can join established groups, begin their own, take advantage of the correspondence program, or simply purchase the weight loss program and go it alone.
