Advertising for Paratrex® reads like the sonnet by Emma Lazarus, except it’s the digestive system that is claimed to be freed from its “wretched state.” The manufacturer of Paratrex® wants to release you from being a tired, health-poor foul breathed prisoner to the “intruders” in your body that rid you of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, or at least pursuit of better health.
Paratrex® is claimed to help create an environment hostile to invading organisms by first flushing your system clean and then establishing a new hostile environment for future invading organisms. It is said that everything you eat, drink, or handle is a potential unwanted guest, and the company states that nearly 150 million Americans have some form of harmful organism living in them without even knowing it. Paratrex contains organic and/or “wild crafted” ingredients such as Fresh Water Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth, Black Walnut, Grapefruit Seed extract, Wormwood, Male Fern Root, American Wormseed, Clove, and Kamala.
The manufacturer has a lot to say about the ingredients, so much so that we found it almost excessive. It is clear that the Fresh Water Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is the favored Paratrex® ingredient. It is referred to as DE, and it is said that it is a fossilized deposit of microscopic shells that were created by one-celled plants called Diatoms. The plants supposedly inhabit all the waters of the earth serving as the bread and butter of aquatic life, so to speak. You may ask what DE may possibly bring to the detoxification banquet in your body. According to the manufacturer, DE has been used to promote intestinal health and help the body to fight against intruders. The “sharp edges” of the plant help to break up unwanted debris and irritate the physical defenses of intestinal intruders.
