Patrick Glickman has joined the throng of people claiming to have the answers with his book Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days. Interestingly enough, Glickman’s book is basically a modern version of a much older program created by Stanley Burroughs. We will take a closer look at Glickman’s book to see if the program he re-promotes has any merit and if he has changed the program in his modern version.

Glickman’s book is basically a re-visitation of a book published in 1976 by Stanley Burroughs called The Master Cleanse. Glickman asserts that the Master Cleanse process is the answer to losing weight, increasing energy and becoming happier.
Glickman’s book explains how using the Master Cleanse process to eliminate toxins, disease producing agents and aging toxins will help individuals achieve amazing results. Glickman tells readers that they don’t have to purchase any special foods or pills to accomplish this, making it safe, natural and inexpensive.
From what we can tell (with so little information available), Glickman’s book doesn’t really change or alter the program Burroughs created; it is, as stated before, simply a re-visitation.

With no primary reference available, we were forced to use secondary sources for information for this review. We strongly believe that it would be beneficial for the book to have its own website for both information and marketing purposes. Glickman does have his own website, but it simply provides a very short blurb about him.

Glickman’s re-visitation of Burroughs’ program does next to nothing for those looking to lose weight and keep it off. The book offers solutions that are short-term and unproven. There are simply too many effective and proven weight loss methods on the market for consumers to waste money on a program that doesn’t offer long-lasting proven results. People looking to lose weight should stick to the tried and true that have always worked. Consider finding a healthy eating plan that you like and can live with long term. You should also exercise each day by doing an activity that is fun and enjoyable. Water is extremely important too, and dieters need a lot of it to stay hydrated and to keep their bodies free of toxins. Finally, try the addition of a supplement specifically designed to help with weight loss.
