Review
Summary |
One of the support based programs on the market, LA Weight Loss does some heavy advertising on TV, and in popular magazines making it one of the more visible programs around. Recently it came under scrutiny for less than stellar business practices when a major news network interviewed past employees who told the crew, “We were taught, if they cry, they’ll buy.” Apparently taking advantage of emotional dieters who were at their wits end, shady counselors were caught on tape sympathizing on one hand, and selling expensive programs and supplements in excess on the other. To top it all off – the business is in big trouble and after clients are signing up for expensive programs at their nearest LA Weight Los Center, the franchises are suddenly closing down and taking the money in hand with them! This of course raises some questions about the credibility of the program and the motivation of the company.
There is a lot of talk amongst the clients that have been ripped off by LA Weight Loss and a huge class action lawsuit is being considered. We recommend checking out this popular LA Weight Loss blog. You can see what the real customers have to say...
According to the management, LA Weight Loss is not a fad diet, but a weight loss plan assisting dieters in losing the weight and keeping it off. The diet plan is based on providing balanced, nutritional meals and sensible portions that will work well on any schedule to provide desired weight loss. LA Weight Loss operates by providing dieters with food options that they can purchase easily at their local grocery store, as well as, select with ease when eating out. Many dieters enjoy LA Weight Loss meal options, because the plans that each client receives is specially formulated for their personal needs. LA Weight Loss agents are supposed to work closely with dieters to keep them on track with their weight loss goals. These agents provide one on one service to each client….assuming they didn’t take their money and run.
Allegedly, studies have been conducted on the make up of the LA Weight Loss plan and have shown “that dieters on the LA Weight Loss plan have lost two to three times as much weight as on a traditional weight loss plan. LA Weight Loss plans are flexible and are catered to the meals you like and the schedule that you live by.” However – these claims have no merit and they have no backing to support them.
At the end of the day – this is a poorly run program and a lot of people are being blatantly ripped off. If you are looking for a good weight loss program and/or quality weight loss supplements you can trust, we recommend clicking here for a list of products that have all been winners of our Reader’s Poll Award at some point or another. | Concept At a Glance |
On the LA Weight Loss plan, many dieters enjoy the fact that they can eat their favorite foods from the grocery store or in a restaurant without having to count calories or worry about their choices.
Many of the suggested meals include fruits and vegetables and other food group options that provide dieters with the balanced diet that will help them lose weight. The diet allows people to eat pasta, cheese, meats and more while keeping sensible portions on hand and nutritious meals in mind. Although it remains to be seen if the program works…we would recommend people look at a more reputable food program like South Beach Diet.

 | Cost |
|
The LA Weight Loss program does not post its prices. People interested must make an appointment with a counselor for a one on one session – and then, and only then, will they find out the cost of the program. We ascertain that this is likely due to the fact that depending on how good your salesperson is, the cost of the program will vary. Frankly, we prefer a program that discloses its costs up front. We feel LA Weight Loss uses this unpublished price structure to take advantage of the clients they can ‘beat-up’ more easily.

 | Website In Focus |
|
The LA Weight Loss website provides information on the program, as well as a posted FAQ section. The site also includes nutrition information and tips of how to be successful while participating in this diet. Dieters can learn about the creation of the company and about how they can start their own LA Weight Loss clinic within their town. These of course are the same clinics/franchises that have been going out of business like crazy across the country.
|
 | Positives |
|
• Success stories from current or past LA Weight Loss clients are provided for potential consumers to view. However - -these are not third party verified.
• The diet allows dieters to eat the foods they love – although their diet program is not proven by any means.
|
 | Negatives |
• Their customer’s hate them. We recommend reading a popular LA Weight Loss blog.
• There supplements are generic and contain no special ingredients. If you are interested in taking a clinically proven weight loss pill that customers like – we recommend checking out Nuphedrine, Slim10 or HoodiaP57.
• The clinics/franchises are taking customer’s money and then immediately shutting down.
• No costs are disclosed to the public so various people can be charged different prices.

 | Final Thoughts |
The LA Weight Loss diet is publicized on both television and radio and has been made popular by Hollywood A-listers, such as Whoopi Goldberg. They have also been highlight on news programs for back-door shady business practices. Clearly they paid Whoopi a lot of money to associate herself with them before their reputation was discovered.
According to the company, over one million people have tried and benefited from the LA Weight Loss plan – and some of them have spoken up about being manipulated during the difficult dieting process. Although the company does not disclose costs to join the program up front, endless people have come forth and complained that they spent hundreds of dollars between the program costs and additional cheap supplements.
As support programs go there are others available that seem to be very upfront and are not shrouded in controversy. No need to spend a fortune either. If you want a support system while dieting we suggest choosing another plan. Dieters are vulnerable enough without being taken advantage of.
No matter what plan you choose, be sure to add exercise and possibly the support of a good weight-loss supplement. Choose one with a proven fat-burner, and a quality appetite control ingredient. Click here for a list of quality programs and supplements we can safely recommend.
