It is said that the formula contains a blend herbs, some of which will sound familiar, others not so much. Triphala is a traditional combination of three fruits Amalaki, Behada and Haritaki that are used to promote liver health, colon health and healthy digestion. The manufacturer combines Triphala with Senna leaves in order to help promote effective elimination. Bishop's weed and Ginger are added not only for their additional digestive support but they help in balancing the action of the Senna leaves. If you know anything about Senna, you can appreciate the fact that the manufacturer attempts to lessen the “dramatic action” by blending it with other ingredients.
It is recommended that you take 2-4 tablets with warm water just before bedtime and that you drink milk with ghee (clarified butter) at bedtime. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are highly recommended, as well as daily exercise.

Ayurvedic medicine is based on an ancient Indian system of healing that assesses an individual’s constitution and lifestyle, and recommends treatment based on herbal preparations, diet, yoga, and purification. There is significant support for the system of healing, but it requires a bit more diligence than some other forms of holistic treatments.
