Psyllium is the primary ingredient in Colon 8 and it is said to be contained in a base of bentonite, oat bran, lacto-bacillus, acidophilus, whey, alfalfa, rhubarb, buckthorn, golden seal, gentian, Cascara Sagrada, aloe, socotrina, calcium, magnesium.
The ingredients are all purported to be pure and natural herbs and nutrients that are typical of all Ion products. It is said that Ion combined the latest research and “nature's wisdom” in their production of Colon 8, as well as their other supplements. Together the ingredients may keep the body cleansed and toned by causing it to remove impurities from the digestive system.
Psyllium husks are included in the formula because of the understanding that it can help relieve constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, and diarrhea. Regular supplementation with psyllium may improve and maintain regular GI transit and with the addition of oat bran, alfalfa, Buckthorn and Cascara Sagrada, the formula will surely keep your digestive tract working efficiently as long as you are consuming plenty of water and fresh fruits and vegetables.
