Colonics, for instance, are popular but not always safe or effective. A step down from colonics would be enemas—just the sound of the word might cause some of you to shudder!
ICS Colonic Enema Kit is advertised to provide good enema equipment to eliminate toxins from our body and encourage overall improvement in health. The kit is said to not only wipe away dangerous toxins from the body, but also puts all the good nutrients back to our body. The manufacturer admits that the word enema brings to mind unpleasant memories of the discomfort of past experiences but with their kit those memories will all be a story of past.

The ICS Colonic Enema Kit includes a gallon bag, which is said to be large enough to perform consecutive enemas without refilling the bag with whatever solution you are using, let us know how that works for you—yikes! The kit also includes two sets of tubing, two clamps for adjusting the flow of the solution into the body, two nozzles (yes, that’s what you stick into your rectum), a plug that allows you to convert the gallon bag into a hot water bottle, and a “recipe” book for different solutions.

The mere idea of giving one’s self an enema will probably eliminate the ICS Colonic Enema Kit from most people’s methods for weight loss or internal cleansing. If you are considering purchasing the ICS kit to use for either purpose, it is important to keep in mind that enemas typically only “cleanse” the very last 7 feet of the large intestine.

If its weight you want to lose, the “weight” you lose using an enema is only stool, not fat. If it is internal cleansing you are after, the cleansing needs to begin at the opposite end of the digestive system with nutrients and foods that are beneficial for building health in the body. Many people will perform a cleanse in hopes that it will optimize the digestive process and potentially improve metabolism as a secondary benefit.
