FullBars are quite simply granola-like snack bars that Snyder recommends users eat 30 minutes before each large meal of the day. Snyder claims that FullBar will help the user feel full so that they will eat less at each of those meals, thus bringing about weight loss. Rather than contain a proven appetite suppressing substance, FullBar simply includes a large amount of carbohydrates (31g) and 6g of protein in the form of puffed grains, protein isolate, and the like.

Dr. Snyder’s approach is an interesting one. The idea of eating a 180-calorie bar (with 31g of carbohydrates) before a meal in order to cut back on portions seems a little off-center. This is especially in view of FullBar’s lack of proven appetite suppressing ingredients. Even so, eating less is only one component of losing weight. Cutting back on calories must be accompanied by burning calories more efficiently.
