The three key ingredients in Everslim are Gymnema sylvestre extract (GSE), chromium polynicotilate and Garcinia combogia extract. There has been a study done at Georgetown University that is available as a reference about the effects of these extracts on weight loss and it does show that they can help regulate weight loss and blood sugar levels, alongside a 2000 calorie diet and daily walks. There is an extensive list of secondary ingredients. Griffonia simplicifola, standardized for 5_HTP, is similar to serotonin in effect. Soy phospholipids are used to reduce hot flashes in menopausal women; its relevance to weight loss is unclear. Green tea and caffeine are used as fat burners. The Georgetown study used doses that were higher than a recommended dose of Everslim provides and there is no clinical data on the actual effects of the Everslim formula. As weight-loss formulas go, this one is not really complete as we see no strong ingredient like the very effective Hoodia to assist with appetite control.

All in all, the sites that vend the product are fairly reputable, with easy ordering and standard customer service available, though customer service appears to be outsourced.

The complete open book policy on the product’s formula makes it easy to get hard facts about the ingredient list. Often when a product does not have its own website, it can be hard to find and worse, but Everslim has saturated the market enough to be readily available.

In a FAQ’s section on Everslim, it is observed that like many weight loss formulas this should not be taken while pregnant or nursing, which is not overly surprising in most products, but in a product specifically marketed toward women who have had children and maybe trying to have more, it is a definite downside.
Another drawback to the product is the recommended dosage of two capsules 30-60 minutes before three mealtimes. This is hardly convenient for anyone yet alone a busy mother.
It is the product’s target audience that would suffer most from the lack of a home webpage. It is not a big deal to research Everslim using any good search engine, assuming one has the time. Again, it is the busy mother who will not. It is encouraging that a study has been done on some of the product’s ingredients, but too much emphasis is placed on this because it is only a matter of reading the study to find out that Everslim is not formulated with the high doses that the study looked into. As this is not explicitly stated, it’s a little misleading to keep touting the study.
