The propriety probiotics blend contains Flax seed extract, Bifidobacterium Longum, Pediococcus Acidilac ME, Fructooligosaccharides, Larix Occidentalis Arabinogalactan, Indole-3-Carbinol, Mild protein extract, and Colostrum.
It is said that Flax seed extract may help restore regularity and absorb toxins in the colon. The advertising purports that some research suggests it may be beneficial to those with irritable bowel syndrome but doesn’t offer more definitive information to support the use of flax seed.
In regards to the probiotics, it is said that they help restore the optimum balance in the colon between beneficial and harmful bacteria. The Colon Health Support formula contains a proprietary probiotic blend along with Bifidobacterium longem, a bacteria that is said to be particularly helpful in the colon, and Pediococcus acidilic which is said to help balance microflora in the gut. The inclusion of Fructo-oligosaccarides and Larix occidentalis Arabinogalactan are both claimed to provide nourishment for good bacteria and may also boost immune system function.
