ColonComplete™ is claimed to be the trifecta for supporting colon health, it provides all-natural fiber, fruit and vegetable components, and two probiotics that may help promote the health of the digestive system. Futurebiotics, the manufacturer of ColonComplete™, devotes much of its advertising to the two Lactobacillus probiotics contained in the formula. They claim that delivering viable live probiotics to the intestinal tract is a formidable technical challenge (not if you are eating them in the form of live cultures from whole food such as yogurt). Of course, ColonComplete™ cannot deliver fresh probiotics in tiny capsules and so they have incorporated Microencapsulation technology, which is believed to help maintain shelf stability and the delivery of viable probiotics.

We’ve told you about the probiotics used in the formula for ColonComplete™, but you may be interested in the fiber that is used. Sunfiber® is claimed to be clinically proven to maintain digestive health, improve mineral absorption and lower glycemic index. Guar Gum is an all-natural soluble dietary fiber that absorbs liquid and turns to gel during the digestion of food, slowing the rate of digestion in the stomach and intestines. It is said to also add more bulk to the stool and it has a prebiotic effect that helps improve the status of beneficial microflora in the digestive system.

ColonComplete™ is claimed to contain the equivalent of about one pound of cooked broccoli and together with the Lactobacillus, the manufacturer believes the formula supplies one billion friendly bacteria cells in each daily serving. Why broccoli? Other than the gas it can cause, it is said to contain D-glucarate, which may protect and defend the colon.

ColonComplete™ is quite inexpensive and readily available through discount websites. We would rather see the advertising emphasize the necessity of consuming fresh vegetables that are full of healthy fiber rather than an extract that may be missing some of the nutritive qualities.
