Summary |
BariWise Breakfast Oatmeals
If you’re dieting, you know how extremely difficult it is to give up those foods you loved best. In fact, you still love them. There’s no use denying that. Depending on your diet, every meal is a reminder of what you can’t eat, what you’re missing out on, what you would have been eating a month ago. And so now, rather than focusing on the healthiness and pleasure of your new foods, you’re stuck reminiscing about this or that dish, as though it were a secret sin only you know about.
Of course, dieting doesn’t have to be this way. When combined with enough vigorous exercise, a moderate and balanced diet can do wonders for your body weight, and all without prohibiting those favorite foods. You simply can’t pork out on them. But there are other solutions if you fear you don’t have the willpower to limit your portions and exercise away those extra calories. Lots of companies put out alternative foods that are supposedly delicious and effective substitutes for the foods you love but “can’t” have.
BariWise is just such a company. Their Breakfast Oatmeals are supposed to make that first, ever-so-important meal of the day a good one by replacing your favorite Regular, Maple & Brown Sugar, and/or Apples & Cinnamon oatmeal with a low-carb, low-fat, high protein option.

 | Ingredients At A Glance |
|
The three flavors of BariWise Breakfast Oatmeals are said to deliver only 8 grams of carbs and 90-110 calories. What’s more, these breakfast cereals are loaded with 15 grams of protein, which is quite a lot for oatmeal. All flavors are aspartame-free. It should be noted that the protein source is an Isolated Soy Protein. For those consumers up to speed on the soy controversy, this may prove to be a negative aspect to the products.

 | Conclusion |
|
BariWise, in a roundabout manner, is promoting a sort of deprivation by providing alternatives to “normal” oatmeal rather than emphasizing moderation and sensibility in eating. It would be more fulfilling, in the long run, for oatmeal lovers to enjoy their oatmeal and other foods in a balanced and restrained way. Combine such moderation with regular exercise, and suddenly, you don’t have to worry about whether or not BariWise’s oatmeals are going to taste like cardboard.
