Atro-Phex is formulated with a number of different unique combinations that the company has personally designed.

The product includes Extreme Multi Action Rapid & Sustained Release Energy & Weight Management Technology, a combination of several separate proprietary blends.

The Adipose Atrophy & Energy Stimulator Matrix, called ATRO-EFX™, consists of “a scientifically engineered ratio” of b-Phenyethylamine, b-Phenyethylamine Malate, Hordenine HCL, Methylxanthine (a source of Caffeine), i-FAS50™ (a precise and synergistic ratio of high-potency fatty acid synthesis inhibitors: Green Tea, Fleece Flower and Loranthus Parasiticus), DL-Phenylalanine, Razberi-K™ (4- butan-2-one), Naringin 99%, Advantra Z (Citrus Aurantium 30%), Bioperine and Yohimbe HCL. Most of these ingredients are fairly obscure, but Citrus Aurantium and Green Tea are very familiar in the diet world.

Citrus Aurantium, especially in its commercial form of Advantra Z, is a strong fat burning ingredient that has been used in place of Ephedra due to its chemical similarities. Although not as effective as Ephedra or ephedrine, Advantra Z does contain some similar alkaloids. This ingredient should not be used by pregnant or nursing women, those with heart or blood pressure problems, or those taking an MAOI. If you have a medical condition, or are taking medication, please consult your physician before using this product.

Green Tea contains antioxidants that support general health, but it also contains Caffeine. Between the Green Tea and Methylxanthine, we are fairly sure that this product contains a high amount of Caffeine (Methylxanthine is a specific kind of Caffeine). This leas us to believe that there may be side effects associated with this product including headache, insomnia, irritability and a “jittery” feeling, as well as elevated heart rate and increased blood pressure.

The Mood & Mental Performance Optimizers include N-Acetyl-l-Tyrosine-Ethyl-Ester Monohydrate, Vinburnine 99%, Vinpocetine 99% and Vincamine 99%. These ingredients all work towards elevating mood, but it should be noted that such ingredients can have a negative interaction with anti-depressants and other mood-altering prescriptions.

The Aqua Retic™ Matrix consists of Juniperus Communis Extract (Juniper), Isopimpinellin 10%, Isoquercetin, D-Myo-Inositol-1, 4 and 5-Triphosphate Hexasodium. These ingredients act as diuretics, helping to both reduce toxins and water weight in the body. Diuretics should be used sparingly since they can have negative side effects and rarely provide permanent results.

The Insulin Support & Weight Management system includes Cinnulin PF (Aqueous Cinnamon Extract), which has shown some promise for balancing blood sugar levels.

The final proprietary blend in Atro-Phex is the Pro-Thyroid Amplifier, consisting of 7-Keto™ (3-acetyl-7-oxo-dehydroepiandrosterone) and Dicana™ (a patent pending diiodothyroacetic acid isomer). These ingredients supposedly improve thyroid function.

The ingredient list is quite long, but there are only a few ingredients that warrant any real attention. There are also some ingredients that cause concern, including the amount of Caffeine in the product and the use of mood-altering ingredients. We are also unable to tell just how much of each ingredient is included with this product due to its “proprietary blend” faÁade. The inclusion of Advantra Z may be a benefit, but from what we can tell, this product is most probably not very safe due to the mixture of stimulants contained in the formula.

Atro-Phex can be purchased online both at its manufacturer’s official website and at bodyconcept.com. One bottle containing 98 capsules retails for $64.99 on the official site and includes free shipping, but for $39.95 plus shipping and handling consumers can purchase the product from bodyconcept.com. The site does offer free shipping on orders over $200. There is no mention of a guarantee or return policy—another big red flag for consumers! While the official site does include return policy information, it does not mention any manufacturer guarantee.

The official Atro-Phex website is simply a section on the BSN website. The pages within the section are well designed and include a product description, an ingredient list, a FAQ section and product testimonials. The site is a little difficult to read, but the information is excellent, and the design is sleek and attractive, including animations and creative ways to categorize the supplement’s effects. It is a great marketing tool for its products, and the design is quite efficient while still being attractive.

Atro-Phex is nothing but one big red flag after another. The supplement hides its ingredients behind fancy names and doesn’t provide any research to back the rash claims it makes. There are no visible customer reviews or testimonials for the supplement and there are no visible guarantees. With so many red flags, we think consumers would be insane to purchase this product. There are simply too many reliable and proven weight loss supplements on the market for consumers to waste their money on one that does nothing but make big claims! If you are seeking a weight loss supplement, be sure and choose a product with ingredients that address both aspects of successful dieting. A proven fat-burner is needed to address excess fat on the arms, belly, hips, thighs and buttocks, and a modern appetite suppressant is needed to control caloric intake and help curb cravings. Effective weight loss happens when both dieting needs are addressed. Add a healthy eating plan, and exercise – and you will have success.
