Rachel Bloom is a freelance writer with a wide variety of interests. She received her BFA from the University of Illinois in 1999 but switched from art to writing in 2004. She's interviewed ninja masters and sushi chefs, taught tea ceremony masters how to make traditional Japanese confections and educated crowds of self-sustainability supporters how to ferment foods at home.
Rachel has a special interest in naturopathy and holistic health, and actively researches both. She's a huge proponent of slow food and healing through nutrition.
When she's not writing about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, she's writing science fiction, hiking, sewing or airing out her art degree by volunteering at local art community centers.
